30 Day Snap #2 | Graduation Ball

Hey guys,

Day two of the challenge:

So at my job today, we did silver service for this beautiful ball which is held for the leaving students and parents. It's a beautiful evening, where the guests show up in ball gowns and diamonds and there is live music in this elegantly decorated marquee. The lights and canopy created such an atmosphere and it was a fun evening I was glad to be a part of.

Keep following me through the challenge and let me know your thoughts, and link me if you decide to partake too :)

30 Day Snap #1 | The Art Room Is My Haven

Hi guys,

So this is day one of the snap challenge. I just wanted to do this because I was inspired, all the information is in my previous post. I just thought it would be really fun and let you guys find out more about me through photographs.

So these are the steps leading to the art room at my college. They are painted really colourful and I love it because it instantly gets me feeling creative as I go to lessons or to do extra work. The photo is quite bright and you can't see, but the walls are painted too.

I wanted this to be my first photo, because it lets you know I'm quite artistic and creative and it shows you how my week days usually begin.

Let me know if you're joining in the loop ;)

30 Day Snap Challenge!

Hello everyone,

I have been inspired by Louise, also known as 'sprinkleofglitter'  (a beauty blogger), who did the 30 day snap challenge and I think only has 4 days left now. :(

I was really inspired by her beautiful photos that she managed to capture everyday and still write a little piece on her blog. I also loved the idea of daily blogging, because I definitely don't blog enough, and this will challenge me and set me a task to do everyday.

If you haven't heard of 'sprinkleofglitter'. Go check her out, on Youtube and on her blog because she is amazingly hilarious, and has the most beautiful baby girl called Darcy.

The rules are simple. Upload one photograph every day. You don't need to use an amazing camera, you could even use your phone, you just have to take and upload one picture a day. Most of my pictures will probably revolve around my house or college, but I will try to "spice it up" for you guys.

I challenge all readers to try it too, even if you don't have a blog, do it on twitter or instagram or facebook.

Send me links, if you decide to do it. I'd love to see your ideas!

I think it will be a fun 30 days and I hope you keep popping back to follow me through this challenge.

Thanks for reading and join in!!

London Haul

Hello,

So, it's been like a thousand years since I last even looked at my blog, and I apologise to all my lovely followers who have probably been like "so...this is great."

But GOOD news. I went to London today and of course went crazy, and I did think of you guys, so I took some photos of the things I bought and I am going to share them with you.

BEAUTY

The above is the beauty selection. I went mad at Topshop because I swear the London store is the only one to do makeup and it's not everyday i'm in London so I wanted to get all the things I needed whilst I was there.

This is the "Browzings shaping kit" from the Benefit range. It is quite expensive £23.50, but if you like doing your eyebrows dark and notice that pencil rubs off and goes all patchy then I would highly recommend this. It lasts all day and doesn't smudge, the actual product lasts a long time too so it is worth the money.

These are two of the 'BarryM' blushers that I purchased in Topshop. I usually get 'Coralista' from Benefit but I want to try other colours and see if I can create different makeup looks. It doesn't actually say what name these blushers are, but on the back the orangey shade says BL7 and on the pink shade it says BL2. They are really pigmented and last a while and I thought it was good because they are only £4.50 each.

This is a Topshop cream highlighter, contouring and blush set. It doesn't have a name but if you go looking for it in Topshop, you will definitely see it. I thought it would be really easy to have it as a set because it's small and I can take it anywhere. i.e ( on the plane, or a train journey). It's just handy and the creams I just apply with a foundation brush or my finger and blend. It's about £12.50 which is not expensive considering how many parts it comes with.

From left to right. the first lipstick is called 'see sheer' by MAC, £15, the second lipstick is '111 Kiss of life' from the Rimmel Kate Moss Range, £5.49 and the last lipstick is Infrared from Topshop, £8. They are all really pigmented and last all day which I love. I have really got into lipsticks this year and I will have a beautiful collection by the end of the year :)

Some other things that were in the main beauty photo that I didn't elaborate on:

- benefit's 'the POREfessional'
- the 'real techniques' makeup brushes
- basic eyebrow brush
- the vintage cosmetic company 'nancy' fake lashes.

CLOTHING

This top is from forever 21 and it's a lemony bright colour and a polyester sheer fabric. I loved it because of it's different colour and the scalloped collar.

I liked this top because of the torn effect on the sleeves and the tie-dye effect. I think it would look really nice tucked into some shorts or disco pants or whatever, but I like the mint colour because it's girly.

I liked this top, again because of the mint colour and because it is a crop. I love that you can wear it with basically everything and it wasn't that expensive either.

I was drawn to this top because of it's luminous, bright yellow colour. I thought that it would look really good with a tan and again it's a crop (which I love). It's different to other tops because of it's colour and I like that.

I also picked up these cute salmon, coral colour socks as I was waiting to pay. I love how cute and girly they are and I think they will look good with skirts and dresses.

Lastly, I also did buy some black disco pants in Topshop, but the photo didn't come out great and well, you all know what disco pants are. And I got some high waisted black swimsuit bottoms, because I know they'd give weird tan-lines, but I think they are super feminine and they look really cute on. I also got one of Lola's cupcakes, of course. :)

In Victoria's Secret I got two bikini tops, with cute frills at the top, black and a teal/green colour and some panties...but I think taking photos of that and putting them on the internet is a bit weird and well, they're personal. ;)

Thanks for reading this blogpost and I hope you enjoyed it.

Please, comment, share and follow :)

ALSO I got a new camera :DDDDDDDDD yaaaaay, super happy. It's a canon EOS 1100D and I love it :) Just wanted to share my happiness ;) It also means, the quality of my photos will get better and I'll probably be posting more. Byee:)

Edgy and Quirky

Yo,

I'm so sorry I haven't posted when I said I would. I've been super busy and I just haven't found things to post about, I will hopefully be doing a post when I go to London on Thursday, so you will be getting more posts!

Anyway, the reason i'm doing a post today, is I have been doing a lot of research and I've been inspired to give you all a fashion post. Sorry, if you don't particularly like my fashion tastes, and you don't enjoy this post, I hope you can take something away from it :)

So, I have taken most of these images from the Lookbook. I'm sure you all know what that is, if you don't, its a website where people all over the world, give an OOTD and you can look at them I guess? It's about being inspired by real people in affordable clothes and not magazines: http://lookbook.nu/

I love this outfit so much! I have pretty similar clothes to this, and I wear it quite often. It's comfortable and looks good too. I usually wear it with my Docs and sometimes
a hat too.

I loved this outfit, because it's girly and elegant. Obviously, for slightly warmer weather, but you could wear tights  with vans, or brogues or Docs again and if it's cold, a baggy cardigan or in my case, my fur coat:)
I love the socks pulled up because it gives a vintage kind of look, and it gives the outfit an extra edge.
If you cover up the socks, you'll know what I mean. ;)

I like how this person has put a top, over another top. It pushes the pattern on top out and looks cute.
I love the tights, because they make your legs look thinner, and again create an edgy look.
Again, I love the denim, and I think this outfit would look really good with
a denim waistcoat or leather jacket on top, preferably black ;)

When I first saw this photo, I thought it was Florence Welch. Lol. I love the scruffy look that jumper offers to this outfit, but the brogues and long skirt create a feminine and casual look but also slightly quirky. I am jealous to say this outfit does look good on a ginger. :(

Simple. This outfit is so simple, but so cute! I love the peppermint jumper and the torn jeans. If you notice, she has a white collar poking over the top of the jumper and the hat literally tops it off. You don't have to always go all out on an outfit, because something like this can look simple, but really effective at the same time.

I don't like the leggings. Saying that now. I love everything else, the oversized coat, the cute jumper. Maybe if it was plain leggings, or some denim shorts it would look really cute! But i liked the layering idea and again, simple, but edgy.

I really love the indie/grunge/edgy kind of look at the moment. Despite the fact, I have recently been going for feminine and cute. A total inspiration of mine is Miley Cyrus. Especially now she has cut her hair, she dresses so nicely, and she has become even more awesome!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this blogpost!!!

Lipsticks, Nails and Bunting

Hello internet and to my beautiful followers,

Just to say hi!!!

I've reaaaaaally wanted to do a post lately, but I've been all caught up with college work and other things, but I have FINALLY found time, and I will try be active over Easter ;)

The first thing I wanted to share with you guys was some lipsticks I recently bought.

The two lipsticks are very different in colour, but both pigmented, thick and balmy.

The first bright pink lipstick is shade number 20 from the Kate Moss Rimmel range.
The second orangey, rust lipstick is from The Body Shop and is shade number 28.

I really like these lipsticks, because I think they are classy colours and depending on your outfit of even the weather, they can stand out and complete a look.

I can't stop wearing this lipstick!!

The second set of beautiful items I recently bought are 4 nail polishes, all from Barry M of course, good quality and cheap as well.

I'm not sure the picture does them justice, but the first colour from the left is a light blue, cotton like colour, the second is a taupe, nude shade, the third is a pastel pink and the last is a bubblegum, bluetack colour.

Again from the left, the names are:

  • Blue Moon
  • Lychee
  • Kingsland Road
  • Blueberry

Also, I highly recommend this nail strengthener, and top coat called 'Rejuvacote' from Duri cosmetics. It's literally amazing.

Last, and DEFINITELY not least, I made some bunting for my bedroom, I used little polka dot pastel colours and hung it on my curtain rail, it looks so cute and I will be making some cushions soon for my chair and maybe bed:)

This link helped me create my bunting and hopefully it can help you:

I really hope my blogpost was helpful and fun to read:) Please comment, follow and share with others.

p.s: Thumbs up for my candle obsession getting worse:

(If you follow me on twitter, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about)

Pin Up Looks With a Bandana

Hey guys,

Really wanted to do a post so I decided to give you a little insight on how I style my pixie cut, but also how you can style your hair with a ponytail or bun or just your hair down.

Here is 3 'Pin Up Girl' looks you can create with a Bandana:

The first and second look similar, but the second is thicker than the first and covers more.

Hopefully the video includes everything :)

Hope you enjoyed the video and found it helpful and I'm sorry for the short blogpost.

If I left anything out that you are unsure of, please leave comments.
