Edgy and Quirky

Yo,

I'm so sorry I haven't posted when I said I would. I've been super busy and I just haven't found things to post about, I will hopefully be doing a post when I go to London on Thursday, so you will be getting more posts!

Anyway, the reason i'm doing a post today, is I have been doing a lot of research and I've been inspired to give you all a fashion post. Sorry, if you don't particularly like my fashion tastes, and you don't enjoy this post, I hope you can take something away from it :)

So, I have taken most of these images from the Lookbook. I'm sure you all know what that is, if you don't, its a website where people all over the world, give an OOTD and you can look at them I guess? It's about being inspired by real people in affordable clothes and not magazines: http://lookbook.nu/

I love this outfit so much! I have pretty similar clothes to this, and I wear it quite often. It's comfortable and looks good too. I usually wear it with my Docs and sometimes
a hat too.

I loved this outfit, because it's girly and elegant. Obviously, for slightly warmer weather, but you could wear tights  with vans, or brogues or Docs again and if it's cold, a baggy cardigan or in my case, my fur coat:)
I love the socks pulled up because it gives a vintage kind of look, and it gives the outfit an extra edge.
If you cover up the socks, you'll know what I mean. ;)

I like how this person has put a top, over another top. It pushes the pattern on top out and looks cute.
I love the tights, because they make your legs look thinner, and again create an edgy look.
Again, I love the denim, and I think this outfit would look really good with
a denim waistcoat or leather jacket on top, preferably black ;)

When I first saw this photo, I thought it was Florence Welch. Lol. I love the scruffy look that jumper offers to this outfit, but the brogues and long skirt create a feminine and casual look but also slightly quirky. I am jealous to say this outfit does look good on a ginger. :(

Simple. This outfit is so simple, but so cute! I love the peppermint jumper and the torn jeans. If you notice, she has a white collar poking over the top of the jumper and the hat literally tops it off. You don't have to always go all out on an outfit, because something like this can look simple, but really effective at the same time.

I don't like the leggings. Saying that now. I love everything else, the oversized coat, the cute jumper. Maybe if it was plain leggings, or some denim shorts it would look really cute! But i liked the layering idea and again, simple, but edgy.

I really love the indie/grunge/edgy kind of look at the moment. Despite the fact, I have recently been going for feminine and cute. A total inspiration of mine is Miley Cyrus. Especially now she has cut her hair, she dresses so nicely, and she has become even more awesome!

I hope you guys have enjoyed this blogpost!!!

Lipsticks, Nails and Bunting

Hello internet and to my beautiful followers,

Just to say hi!!!

I've reaaaaaally wanted to do a post lately, but I've been all caught up with college work and other things, but I have FINALLY found time, and I will try be active over Easter ;)

The first thing I wanted to share with you guys was some lipsticks I recently bought.

The two lipsticks are very different in colour, but both pigmented, thick and balmy.

The first bright pink lipstick is shade number 20 from the Kate Moss Rimmel range.
The second orangey, rust lipstick is from The Body Shop and is shade number 28.

I really like these lipsticks, because I think they are classy colours and depending on your outfit of even the weather, they can stand out and complete a look.

I can't stop wearing this lipstick!!

The second set of beautiful items I recently bought are 4 nail polishes, all from Barry M of course, good quality and cheap as well.

I'm not sure the picture does them justice, but the first colour from the left is a light blue, cotton like colour, the second is a taupe, nude shade, the third is a pastel pink and the last is a bubblegum, bluetack colour.

Again from the left, the names are:

  • Blue Moon
  • Lychee
  • Kingsland Road
  • Blueberry

Also, I highly recommend this nail strengthener, and top coat called 'Rejuvacote' from Duri cosmetics. It's literally amazing.

Last, and DEFINITELY not least, I made some bunting for my bedroom, I used little polka dot pastel colours and hung it on my curtain rail, it looks so cute and I will be making some cushions soon for my chair and maybe bed:)

This link helped me create my bunting and hopefully it can help you:

I really hope my blogpost was helpful and fun to read:) Please comment, follow and share with others.

p.s: Thumbs up for my candle obsession getting worse:

Pin Up Looks With a Bandana

Hey guys,

Really wanted to do a post so I decided to give you a little insight on how I style my pixie cut, but also how you can style your hair with a ponytail or bun or just your hair down.

Here is 3 'Pin Up Girl' looks you can create with a Bandana:

The first and second look similar, but the second is thicker than the first and covers more.

Hopefully the video includes everything :)

Hope you enjoyed the video and found it helpful and I'm sorry for the short blogpost.

If I left anything out that you are unsure of, please leave comments.

Whitening your teeth at home!

Hellooo guys:)

I know my last post wasn't anything "beauty" related. So I decided to give you all a little insight to my weekly routine of teeth whitening:)

ingredients & equipment:
Bicarbonate of Soda
Half a lemon/lime
And a little dish to mix
Teaspoon
A toothbrush you don't use normally

Next, you need to take a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and pour it onto the dish.

Then, using the half of lemon or lime, squeeze the juice onto the bicarbonate powder. But not all of the juice because you want to form a paste and not a liquid.

Using a different toothbrush to your normal one, mix the juice and the Bicarbonate powder together to form a paste. If you have used too much juice, then just add more Bicarbonate and visa versa.

The formed "paste" should look something like this and be a mix of runny and thick. >>

Then, you taking the dish and toothbrush to your bathroom so you don't make a mess, brush the paste all over your teeth. Before you ask me, yes it probably will taste horrible, but doing it once a week, you get used to the taste. (make sure you do not swallow any of the paste!)

Then rinse your mouth out afterwards with water, making sure you haven't swallowed anything.

When you are done, brush your teeth with your normal toothpaste and toothbrush, and you may notice a difference straight away, however I only noticed small differences and gradually as the weeks went by, they got whiter and whiter and people started to notice which I was happy about.

I would recommend only doing it once a week, as more than that could destroy the natural enamel on your teeth and make them very weak. So, once a week!

Hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful!

Lunch in a country cottage

Hiyaa fellow beauty lovers,

So the other day, I went to the countryside to see some family friends. When I was there we had the cutest lunch spread:
salami, prosciutto ham, blueberry and chocolate muffins, chocolate twists, brie cheese, warm crusty bread, cookies and tea.

It was so cute and tasted delicious, not to mention the three cups of tea I had.

mmm... blueberry muffins :3

Chocolate twists :3

I love the cottage look in this house, garlic, herbs and little wicker items. I just loved the look of how she placed them in her house. I know I will be having items like this when i eventually move out :D

Sorry for such a random post and how short it is, I just wanted to share with you my cute little outing.

Be posting soon. Comment, share and follow.

Pamper Evening

Hello my lovelies,

So I was recently inspired to do a pamper evening post. I always spend at least an evening a week where I take out a few hours for a relaxing routine to keep my stress levels balanced and to just have time to myself.

I usually start the evening by running a bath, lighting some candles and then washing my face with my cleanser to open the pores so that the steam from the bath can do its job.

I always add bubbles to my bath, because I feel more relaxed with them and I dunno, I think it just adds to the effect, and sometimes you can get bubble bath that adds colour your bathwater, like the products from Lush and it just makes a difference.

Once i'm in the bath, i'll use a body scrub and exfoliate all over my body to get rid of dead skin and to keep my skin soft and nourished. Then once its all washed off, a normal shower gel or body oil for shaving. Once i'm all clean and refreshed I'll either read a book or play a game on my phone, whilst having some relaxing or quiet music on in the background.

Currently, I am reading a novel called 'The Road'.
I'm enjoying it, but it is quite graphic and depressing.

Once you're all done relaxing and you feel like you've finished in the bath. I like to wash my hair because I don't like washing it in bubble bath and because it's coloured and I don't want it to mix it with the bath water. Once I've finished washing my hair. I'll do a face mask. I really like using seaweed 'peel off' masks because it leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft and I find 'peel off' masks much cleaner to take off and they don't make as much mess.
Looks like I'm naked. hehe. Seaweed mud mask.

Whilst the mask is setting for the 10-20 minutes. I usually moisturise the whole body and then pop on my pajamas and either lie on my bed with cucumbers on my eyes or just go on my laptop and do something to fill the time :p

Then comes the washing off of the mask or in this case the 'peeling off'.

Then I'll finish off with my evening skin care routine, moisturiser or liquid gold and that's the 'pamper evening' done.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and found it useful, has it inspired you to have a pamper evening tonight?

Comment, follow and share, I'd love to hear about your pamper evenings and how they differ to mine:)

Primark Haul!

Hellooooooooooooo internettt ;)

Primark Haul :3

would like to share with you some of the things I bought from Primark recently. I know a lot of people do not like primark for various reasons, however I like how cheap the clothes are and yet of the same quality as some other expensive stores. As much as I love Topshop, I don't wanna spend £50 on a dress I can get for £15 in Primark.

So, here we go:

The first item I bought was this flowy, cream polyester shirt with frills over the shoulders and a small collar.

There is a soft mesh piece at the top on both sides with small white polka dots. You could wear this with a high waisted skirt, or leggings. Or even a little cami underneath. I think its quite cute and feminine.

Here is a close up photo of the top of the mesh:)
£8.00

Next I bought another shirt, this time without sleeves, but with a white collar and hanging ties.

I really like this shirt, because its not polyester, it's like soft viscose drapey, flowy kind of fabric. It hangs really well. The collar however is polyester and has a sparkly sheen to it which thought was really cute and girly.

I thought that it would go with a high waisted skater skirt, or disco pants, or even underneath a jumper with the collar and ties sticking out as detail.

The next item was also a shirt, similar to the one above, but black with a white collar and a stripe down the center of the front and gold metal tips on the points of the collar. £6.00

I liked how the back of the top, was slightly longer than the front so it would cover your bum if you wanted to wear it with just leggings or disco pants or whatever.

The gold collared tips add some detail to the top which I think is essential and I really enjoy wearing this top under jumpers with the collar poking out the top because of the gold tips. I also have this shirt in a khaki green with a black collar and black stripe. £6.00

I then went over to the skirt/dress area and I bought a black and a khaki textured skater skirts for only £8.00 each.

Sorry for the bad photo, but I did manage to pick up the textured look it has. It has an elasticated waist and comes with a belt, but I never use the belts they provide.

I just thought it would look cute with some tights, a shirt or a jumper and some boots or brogues.

The last item I bought was a midi plain grey bodycon dress.

It looks horrible on the hanger, so I found a image of it on the internet for you to get an idea of how it fits on the body.

It's very tight fitting, and is so comfortable. It ends just a bit below the knees it can be very elegant or casual.

The material is very soft and I thought it would look good with some Docs or a collar necklace or even a bowler hat
I just loved the ideas it brought and I cant wait to wear it!

Thumbs up for a headscarf and for how long my pixie cut is getting!!

Bye and I love you all :) Please leave comments and thoughts and if you have any questions i'll be happy to answer!
